For every deck that we create, we print around 25 pre-production decks for ourselves and send them out for review. We then use these decks to revise and finalize the designs for our production decks. Computer monitors don’t show how the cards will actually be when they are printed, so having the cards in hand lets us get them exactly how we want.
We update our Kickstarter campaigns with the most up-to-date images of our revisions; however, we constantly make improvements on our design up until the moment we print the decks. So, what is on Kickstarter may vary a bit from our actual decks.
Our Jean Noblet Tarot deck shows an excellent example of this revision process. The review decks that we received were much different from what we imagined. Mainly, the colors were too bright and warm. We also received a lot of feedback regarding our updates to the original images, so we reverted some of our changes to better match the original cards.
We are now on the third and final revision of our Jean Noblet deck, which will be printed. We believe we found the ideal balance between the original images and our contemporary updates, which bring consistency and clarity to the cards.
We hope you will love using this deck for your readings. We can’t wait to get our Jean Noblet Tarot deck into your hands!
