Aitor Saraiba

Aitor Saraiba has been working in drawing, textile art, and ceramics for two decades. His work has been exhibited worldwide. He is the author of several books, including The Legionnaire's Son, Nothing Else Matters, and The Book of the Chrysalis. His latest release, Embroider, Mend, and Sew with Aitor Saraiba, explores his textile process, blending autobiography and creativity.

In 2022, the newspaper El País honored him with the ICON Artisan of the Year award for his work in textiles and ceramics. For the same reason, that same year, Castilla La Mancha awarded him the Regional Merit Award for recovering traditional techniques in contemporary art.

He has collaborated with the Prado Museum, the Thyssen Museum, Caixaforum, Matadero Madrid, MUSAC, La Casa Encendida, La Térmica, Azkuna Zentroa, and the Madrid Costume Museum.
