Catrin Welz-Stein

Catrin Welz-Stein was born in Weinheim, Germany. She studied graphic design in Darmstadt and worked for various advertising agencies in Germany and abroad. In 2009, she began creating digital images by combining historical paintings, curiosities, and fairytale illustrations into surreal and sensual compositions.

After sharing her work on internet platforms, she received encouraging feedback from the online community, far more than she had ever experienced before. It was the first time she presented herself as an artist, and since then, her passion for creating has stayed with her.
