We are happy to share that Erik is making progress on our Bolivian Rosewood boxes for the Nicolas Conver Tarot deck. The fine detail work required to make each box is taking longer than anticipated.
The photos above show how Erik puts together the boxes.
You can see how he first tapes off the wood to glue the pieces together. This makes it easier to remove the glue remnants from the inside of the box. He then drills small holes to insert the magnets. Once these steps are complete, he glues the wood and clamps it together.
You can see the large number of clamps needed for each box. Erik actually cleaned out all of the clamps from the Home Depot in Denver. Hopefully, they will be in stock again soon, so he can get even more.
Erik has completed the first small batch of boxes, which have been shipped to backers. When your box ships, you will receive a notification in Kickstarter that your progress is updated to “Shipped.” You will also receive an email with your tracking number.
We appreciate your patience as the boxes are being made. We will continue to ship them as they are completed.
