As we’ve mentioned in previous posts, Krisztin and I are currently living in Tbilisi, Georgia. One activity that I enjoy here is traveling around the city to find coffee shops. These make for excellent places to meet up with friends to read the tarot. And who doesn’t like a cafe latte? ☕
In my opinion, a one card reading is perfect for this casual environment. The readings don’t take much time, and I can still give a concise answer. Plus, if there is time, I’ll share how I use the Fourth and Fifth Pentacle of Solomon to achieve my goals and teach them to do the same.
A few weeks ago, I was at Gloria Jean’s with my friend Dmitry. We were talking about our Jean Noblet tarot deck and I offered to give him a reading. The following is a summary of the reading I shared while we were enjoying our drinks.
Before you read my analysis and answer, think about how you would answer Dmitry’s question. Then read my answer and see if our advice is similar.
The One Card Reading
Scenario: Dmitry frequently goes to the gym to lift weights. Over the weekend, he dropped a 55 pound weight on his toe. He went to the doctor who told him to wear a brace and to stay off of it.
Question: Will I be able to ski next month?
Layout and spread: This is a one-card reading.
Cards: The Star
Analysis: The Star shows a lady kneeling on the ground. She has pitchers filled with water in each hand. She pours this water on and around her foot.
Answer: If you want to go skiing, follow your doctor’s advice. Stay off your foot and keep it clean for it to heal. As long as you nurture your toe, you will recover in time for the ski season.
Takeaway
You can see how my simple answer connected my analysis of the card with Dmitry’s question. The advice I shared was also clear as to how he should move forward to heal. He completely agreed with the advice, and we continued our conversation about how The Star was the perfect card to appear for his situation.
