Alejandro R. Rozan is a Cuban artist based in the USA whose art revolves around the arcane mysticism of the tarot world. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the Academy of Fine Arts of Ciego de Avila. In his work, he employs a variety of media including watercolor, pencil, pen, and digital art.
When Alejandro was a child, he saw his first Tarot de Marseille deck, and from that moment, he felt an inexplicable attraction to tarot. This led him to a focused study of the history, artists, authors, and divinatory approaches to reading the cards. Alejandro sees the tarot as an endless symbolic language that has allowed him to explore his creativity as an artist and illustrator.
His Tarot des Ambiguïtés marks the culmination of years of research and planning. It is his first published tarot deck, created in collaboration with Steven Bright and Artisan Tarot. This deck is his personal take on the Tarot de Marseilles and his special tribute to the tarot decks that constantly inspire him to create.
Alejandro's artwork has been published in magazines such as Issue 5 of the Esotoracle, and Volume 1, Number 1 of Azoth. His first tarot-related comic was published in Issue 5 of Kronikas, L'Inventaire Imaginaire. His decks include the Tarot des Ambiguïtés and The Rider-Marseille Tarot.

The Rider-Marseille Tarot Deck features imagery from the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot, designed by Pamela Colman Smith and Arthur Edward Waite, combined with historical influences from the 17th-century Tarot de Marseille. To create the images, Alejandro hand-drew and digitally colored each card to emulate woodblock printing and stencil coloring techniques.
As an homage to the creators of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, Alejandro designed two special cards featuring portraits of Pamela Colman Smith and Arthur Edward Waite. These cards are included in every deck!

Where to start . These will give me the chance to ease into Marseille style reading as I am re-connecting to tarot in my later years. I watched a review with one of my favorite youtube tarot readers & reviewers & he had me looking for this deck & found it through your company. I have also watched a review with this same artist Alejandro R Rozan with his new deck coming thru kick-started of the Marseille-Thoth deck he has been working on & WOW . Beautiful work this man does & fell in love with the deck. I know nothing of Thoth * as of yet* smiles* this will come later in my practice. For now , I am very pleased with what I have right now. I love the art work and the colours. Mixing Marseille with Rider is what I always wanted. The cards are a bit bigger than I thought bc I have small hands but they are gorgeous and very easy to shuffle. Having them in a miniature size cards wouldn't be fair to the artwork! No regrets!
This deck gives me so much inspiration. I waited a month to finally get it, and the cardstock is incredibly smooth—super easy to shuffle! The art has a cool vintage, aged look that blends the best parts of Marseille and Rider-Waite. I can't wait to work with it, it's awesome!
I was looking for a more traditional deck that still looked nice and am thrilled with how this has filled that need. The art is lovely and evocative and the quality of the deck is great. The cards shuffle well and feel very nice in the hand.

This amazing deck is like an uncanny object that has somehow entered our space-time continuum from an alternate reality! I've seen other decks that present Tarot imagery done in the style of artists from earlier centuries, but none are as skillfully rendered as this deck. It succeeds in producing a definite sense of temporal vertigo which will greatly facilitate its use as a divination tool.

Got the Rider-Mareseille deck by Alejandro Rozan. Love these cards. RWS style cards drawn/painted in a Mateseille style. With the numbered suit cards haveing Mareseille style pips in addition to the RWS scenes. The card stock is perfect for shuffling. Artisan Tarot has a winner on their hands with this deck.

Beautiful deck. It’s just genius how the Marseille and Smith-Waite pips were combined in the imagery. I would love to see an alternate set of majors for this deck truer to the Marseille version. I’d snap that one right up!
