About The Alchemical Tarot: Reimagined
In 1987, Robert Place discovered that the alchemical Great Work and Tarot's Major Arcana tell the same story, leading to The Alchemical Tarot's first publication in 1995. Thirty years later, Robert has completely redrawn the cards based on decades of artistic and reading experience.
Each Major Arcana corresponds to an alchemical process in creating the Philosopher's Stone - the legendary catalyst that transforms everything it touches into its highest form. The World card represents the Stone itself. A twenty-second trump, Veritas, is also included.
The four minor suits align with alchemical elements (Earth, Water, Air, Fire) and Jung's four functions of consciousness (sensation, intuition, thinking, feeling). Thus, the feminine elements align with the passive observational functions: sensation and intuition, and the masculine elements align with the active decision-making functions: thinking and feeling.
The Alchemical Tarot Reimagined is Robert's masterwork. It's a must-have for any collection.
