We have sad news from our Artisan Tarot family.
At the beginning of the month, Jon Saint Germain shared with me that he'd been diagnosed with metastatic cholangiocarcinoma, a very rare and aggressive type of cancer. We knew his time would be short, but we didn't realize how short. On Friday, his wife Laurie let me know that he passed away.
Jon was an ordained minister, spiritual reader, prolific author, and pastor of Divine Harmony Spiritual Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was extremely knowledgeable, an amazing reader, and the most empathetic person I've met.
He was also a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to so many. You could ask him about any topic, and he'd enthusiastically talk about it for hours. I'm deeply grateful for the time we spent together.
I'm also proud that we got to work with him to produce his Witch's Runes deck. We spent countless hours on Zoom designing the cards, discussing the guidebook, and just talking about life.
His wife told me he would smile every time we sold a deck. I think he'd be delighted to know that people are still learning from him.
