Our 2023 Annual Letter

Our 2023 Annual Letter

Now that 2023 has come to an end, we want to recap the year and share our plans for the future of Artisan Tarot. Thanks to you, we had another amazing year.

We are thrilled that people around the world enjoy our products. This year, we received over 300 five star reviews on our website! We also worked with even more retailers to stock our products in their brick and mortar shops. We are excited to work with such wonderful people.

Will Torres is continuing to manage the receiving and shipping of our products. He is very effective in keeping our operations running smoothly. When you place an order, you can be assured that he will pack and ship it with care. He is typically able to ship out packages between 3 - 5 business days.

Throughout this year, we released four decks, a book, and a variety of tarot related products. We also released a free version of our Trumps course, hosted live lectures, and grew our community in our Discord chat room and forum. We also continued to work with an incredible group of reviewers who help us spread the word about our products. We are thankful for their help and generosity.

Our Product Releases

Looking back to March, we expanded our lineup by releasing our Momentum poker deck. Krisztin created original images with the idea of capturing different moments in time. This was also our first deck to have individually numbered seals.

In April, we switched gears by releasing our bridge size trumps leather wallet. We designed this wallet to carry our Jean Noblet trumps deck and F. F. Solesio trumps deck. To create the wallet, we teamed up with Heritage in Tbilisi, Georgia.

In May, we released our F. F. Solesio trumps deck. This deck was originally printed in Genoa, Italy in 1865. This is the first Italian deck that we added to our collection.

In August, we released our Portrait de Paris poker deck. This was originally published between 1735-1751 by J. Trioullier (Paris). Krisztin restored the deck based on the images found in the National Library of France.

In September, we worked with Enrique Enriquez to release his book Augur. This new 32 page book focuses on The Language of the Birds. It is an ideal companion for his previously released Beautiful Bullshit.

In October, we released our Telepatha decks. Krisztin restored this two-deck set which was originally designed by Harry Price in 1939. These decks were used in scientific studies to research Extra Sensory Perception. They make a fantastic companion to our ESP Decks.

In December, Krisztin released her handmade Rosenwald Tarot deck. The Rosenwald tarot is one of the earliest Italian decks from 15th century. Krisztin recreated the original deck using traditional card making methods. The first batch of decks immediately sold out.

Throughout the year, we also added more products to our store including pouches, and continued offering books by respected authors such as Alejandro Jodorowsky, Italo Calvino, and Enrique Enriquez.

What’s Next

We are excited to continue releasing tarot products and working with new artists in the new year!

We plan on speeding up our releases by producing at least six new decks in 2024. While we will continue to work with the Tarot de Marseille, most of our new decks will focus on original tarot and oracle decks.

In January, we will release the Rider-Marseille Tarot deck by Alejandro R. Rozan. The Rider-Marseille Tarot harmoniously unites the Rider-Waite-Smith and Tarot de Marseille traditions. This artwork bridges two iconic eras of tarot symbolism providing meaningful images that will delight, inspire, and empower readers of all skill levels.

In February, we will release the “Pai of Panda” I Ching deck by Z. Mann Zilla. This is a fresh new take on the ancient divination art of I Ching, with 32 cards that reveal thousands of possible paths.

We will continue offering lectures and community sessions. We will also release new courses for our releases. We are currently exploring ways to best manage all of our new content.

We have a lot more projects coming up in 2024, but we aren’t quite ready to share them just yet. So, make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter to stay up with all the current news and releases.

We would also love to work with you! So, if you have a project that you want to release with us, please get in touch. You can find all of the details on our Product Submissions page.

In Conclusion

We say this every year, and we always feel the same.

We owe our success to our wonderful community of supportive tarot enthusiasts. We couldn’t have done any of this without you. We know there are a lot tarot products on the market, so we are very thankful for your business. We will continue to work hard to create the finest tarot decks and give you exceptional service.

Happy holidays from our family to yours. May the new year be filled with many fantastic readings!
