Now that 2022 has ended, we want to recap the year and share our plans for the future of Artisan Tarot. Despite the ongoing pandemic, we once again had our best year yet!
We had over 32,000 unique visitors to our website and over 119,000 page views. This resulted in over 2,000 orders from people all over the world, which is double what we had in 2021. We also worked with even more retailers to sell our products in brick-and-mortar shops.
To keep up with all of the orders, we hired Will Torres to manage the receiving and shipping of our products. He has been instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly. When you place an order, you can be assured that Will will pack and ship it with care. He is typically able to ship out packages between 3 - 5 business days.
Throughout the year, we released five decks, a book, and a variety of tarot related products. We hosted our new Trumps course, live lectures, and further grew our community in our Discord chat room. We also continued to work with an incredible group of reviewers who help us spread the word about our products. We are thankful for their help and generosity.
Our Deck and Book Releases
Looking back to January, we ran a Kickstarter campaign for the Jean Dodal Tarot. This quickly became a Kickstarter Project We Love and raised over $15,000 to produce the deck and accessories. One of these products included Krisztin’s linocut print of Force.
In March, we decided to switch gears and recreate the original ESP decks from J.B. Rhine. This was a fun project to bring awareness to his research and to allow you to test your own ESP abilities.
In June, we released our Jean Noblet trumps deck which is available for free on our site. This continues our mission to popularize these historic Tarot de Marseille decks. To date, we have given away over 1000 decks!
In September, we released the Jacques Vieville Tarot. Instead of using Kickstarter to raise funds, we accepted pre-orders for the deck and accessories on our website. We believe this improved the buying experience and allowed us to fulfill orders much faster.
In October, we produced our first book with Z. Mann Zilla on Reading Tarot on Social Media. This book is an overview of how to use divination to build your following and business through social media. It’s a fantastic guide for anyone wanting to do more readings.
And finally, in November, we teamed up with Alejandro R. Rozan and Steven Bright to release the Tarot des Ambiguïtés. This deck is a re-imagination of the Tarot de Marseille, faithful to its style and inspired by its symbolism. It’s a fantastic twist to these familiar images which are intended to inspire your imagination.
Throughout the year, we also added many new products to our store, including The Fourth and Fifth Pentacles of Mercury, pouches, and books by famous authors such as Alejandro Jodorowsky, Italo Calvino, and Enrique Enriquez.
What’s Next
We are excited to continue releasing tarot products and working with new artists in the new year!
Our monthly lectures will continue with amazing, emerging artists. Our first lecture of the year begins in February with Steven Bright, who will share how to read with the Tarot des Ambiguïtés.
We also plan to once again release a new deck about every two months. This will begin with a poker deck created by Krisztin in January/February. This will be followed by a new version of the popular Gypsy Witch deck which will have a new name and detailed images which will enhance your readings. Later in the year, we plan to release a Rider-Waite-Smith style deck… that we are sure you will love!
And finally, Krisztin is currently carving the Rosenwald Tarot on woodblocks to create handmade decks. The cards will be printed from these blocks in the same way the Tarot de Marseille cards were created during the Renaissance. She hopes to release her deck later this year!
We have a lot more projects coming up in 2023, but we aren’t ready to share them just yet. However, make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter to stay up with all the current news and releases.
In Conclusion
We stated this last year, and feel the same way once again.
We owe our success to our wonderful community of supportive tarot enthusiasts. We couldn’t have done any of this without you. We know there are a lot of tarot products on the market, so we are very thankful for your business. We will continue to work hard to create the finest tarot decks and give you exceptional service.
Happy holidays from our family to yours. May the new year be filled with many fantastic readings!
