This is Krisztin from Artisan Tarot. I’m excited to share that I’m opening a new webshop that features my linocut and woodblock prints.
www.krisztin.com <— I can’t believe this was available! 😁
Printmaking has been one of my main interests over the last five years. This is why I enjoy researching how historic playing cards were made. Traditionally, artisans would carve woodblocks, add ink onto the design, and press it on paper. This would create the black outlines for images. I use this same technique for my artwork.
Over the past few months, I've been working to create my own, original prints. My inspiration comes from my love of nature, my interest in various cultures, and my appreciation of art history.
For example, my first woodblock print, "Chitipati", features two dancing skeletons from Tibetan Buddhism. Their symbol represents both the eternal dance of death as well as perfect awareness.
My new prints are now available for pre-order and will be shipped in August. These first editions are limited to 50 prints each.
If you place an order now, you'll receive a "Flourish II." print for free!
I am happy to finally be able to share these with you. 🥰
